Kornati National Park
A dense archipelago of bare, sculpted islands off the Šibenik coast, protected as a national park; visited on organised boat trips, with the park office in Murter.
Exact location not yet verified. Use the Google Maps search.
Why it's worth it
The Kornati are a maze of some 140 islands, islets and reefs, mostly bare limestone with dramatic cliffs on the seaward side and sheltered coves inside. The heart of the archipelago is protected as Kornati National Park, administered from Murter.
For guests without their own boat, the way to see them is an organised day trip: excursion boats run in season from towns along the coast, often including a swim stop and lunch. Primošten excursion operators and the tourist board can say what is currently offered; the park's website explains entry tickets and rules.
The map marker shows the park office in Murter, not the islands themselves.
Good to know
Boat-only access; trips are seasonal and weather dependent. Check entry fees, rules and current excursion offers on np-kornati.hr and with operators. Bring sun protection; there is little shade.
Seasonal: check opening times and tickets.
