Our Lady of Loreto Lookout
Hilltop viewpoint on Gaj hill above Primošten, with a monumental statue of Our Lady of Loreto and a panorama over town, islands and vineyards.
Why it's worth it
On Gaj hill, south of the centre, stands the Our Lady of Loreto lookout (Vidikovac Gospe od Loreta). Its centrepiece is a 17-metre statue of the Madonna, visible from far along the coast, surrounded by a landscaped viewing area.
The view is the reason to come: Primošten's Old Town peninsula below, the Raduča beaches, the islands offshore and the dry-stone vineyards inland. The tourist board mentions a café, a souvenir shop, a large car park and summer concerts at the site.
It is a pleasant stop at sunset and a good first orientation point to understand the lie of the land.
