Rogoznica
Small coastal town south of Primošten: a stone old town on a peninsula, a long waterfront, the Dragon's Eye lake and the Marina Frapa; an easy half-day trip.
Why it's worth it
Rogoznica is the next town down the coast from Primošten and makes a relaxed half-day or evening outing. The old core sits on a peninsula that used to be an island, with stone houses lining the riva, and the newer parts spread around the sheltered bays on either side.
The main things to see are close together: the waterfront and old town, the salt-water lake Zmajevo oko (Dragon's Eye) on the Gradina peninsula, the Marina Frapa in Soline bay, and beaches such as Račice on the east side. Cape Planka, the point where the northern and southern Adriatic are said to meet, is a short drive south.
The local tourist board site, loverogoznica.eu, lists beaches, sights and events.
Good to know
The map marker is the settlement centre, not a specific spot. Parking near the riva is limited in summer; check current information with the tourist board.
